About the position

The Community Manager at Monroe Group is responsible for overseeing a large Family affordable Project Based Section 8 (PBS8) community. This role involves managing the property, leading a team, and ensuring high standards of customer service and compliance with housing regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in affordable housing management and will be committed to enhancing the value of the property while fostering a positive environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and mentoring a dynamic team
  • Developing and managing the budget
  • Ensuring property meets KPI Goals for Occupancy, Collections, Compliance, Asset, and Budget Management
  • Submitting necessary weekly/monthly reporting
  • Ensuring that site teams deliver Safe, Decent and Sanitary Housing to all residents
  • Performing all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (College Degree is preferred)
  • Minimum of two (2) years as Community Manager
  • Working Knowledge of OneSite or Yardi Software
  • English language proficiency (read, speak, and write)
  • The ability to pass a full background check

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong experience in affordable housing programs
  • Participated in Management and Occupancy reviews and UPCS/REAC Inspections
  • Experience with resident-occupied project renovations
