About the position

The Community Manager at Altman Management Company is responsible for overseeing the management of six properties under Main Line Properties. This role involves marketing, administering, and maintaining leases and sales of apartment units, ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Review delinquencies and send late notices to residents; file delinquent accounts as necessary.
  • Report work injuries and near misses to the appropriate parties immediately; conduct investigations into incidents.
  • Manage and resolve resident complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Regularly shop competition and stay informed about the local rental market.
  • Manage service orders and assign them to Maintenance staff; ensure completion of service orders promptly.
  • Review and approve employee timecards according to the payroll schedule.
  • Communicate with the Regional Manager and Human Resources regarding staff issues and collaborate on resolutions.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new employees at the site.
  • Prepare work schedules and conduct performance evaluations for staff.
  • Prepare for and manage all Life Safety Inspections and City or Township inspections.
  • Create Resident Newsletters to provide information and foster community atmosphere.
  • Assist residents in transitioning to electronic rent payments.
  • Maintain a clean and inviting environment throughout the property.
  • Maintain all financial records for the property in collaboration with accounting and Accounts Payable teams.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in English.
  • At least two years' experience as a property manager or leasing agent.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with Yardi software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in property management in a similar market.
  • Familiarity with local rental laws and regulations.
