About the position

The Community Manager at Red Tail Residential is responsible for optimizing net operating income through effective cost control and maintaining high occupancy levels in a multifamily community. This role involves developing marketing strategies, managing operational safety, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The Community Manager will also lead a team, conduct inspections, and analyze market data to inform strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize net operating income through efficient cost control.
  • Ensure consistently high occupancy levels.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans.
  • Submit operational and financial data to the Regional Manager in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a high-quality on-site team through effective management training.
  • Implement company policies and procedures.
  • Lead inspirational team meetings.
  • Oversee the operational safety of the community.
  • Schedule vendors to keep vacant units ready for occupancy.
  • Conduct regular visual inspections of grounds, buildings, and apartment units.
  • Complete and analyze market surveys for strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Community Manager in the Multifamily Industry required.
  • Experience managing luxury properties preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Knowledge of Yardi, Voyager, LRO, Entrata, and Resident Check preferred.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations effectively.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills required.
  • Knowledge of state law as it relates to fair housing.

Nice-to-haves

  • CPM, CAM, RMP, or CMCA Certifications preferred but not required.
