About the position

The Student Housing General Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the assigned property, ensuring effective execution of staffing, administration, and day-to-day business functions. This role emphasizes customer service, team engagement, and operational excellence to maintain resident satisfaction and property standards.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, mentor, and coach all property team members for success.
• Manage team scheduling and ensure operational standards and procedures are implemented and maintained.
• Maintain leasing and marketing activities and programs, participating in sales calls, tours, and presentations as needed.
• Provide guidance related to student behavioral issues and mediate roommate conflicts.
• Physically inspect units and common areas to ensure property standards are met and maintained.
• Track maintenance requests and follow up on timely completion; coordinate unit turnovers for scheduled move-ins.
• Maintain budgeted marketing and leasing plans, managing costs and expenses to maximize NOI.
• Develop relationships with campus departments and organizations for marketing opportunities.
• Oversee and manage spending for Community Ambassador organized events.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of campus departments and on-campus housing.
• Proficient in MS Office applications and strong computer technology skills, including social media use.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong customer mindset and demonstrated leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Entrata.
• Previous work experience in student/on-campus housing environment, preferably in a leadership role.
