About the position

The Community Manager at Landmark Properties is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of the property. This role includes achieving leasing goals, managing revenue, fiscal planning, and fostering resident and community relations. The Community Manager is expected to lead by example, maintain a professional demeanor, and ensure compliance with company policies and Fair Housing regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of the property's daily operations and management.
  • Achieve leasing goals and manage revenue.
  • Prepare marketing plans and develop strategies to meet occupancy goals.
  • Prepare weekly status reports and recommendations for pricing or leasing specials.
  • Maintain product knowledge of the community and competitive properties.
  • Ensure timely follow-up activities for prospective residents.
  • Organize staff meetings and ensure confidentiality of client and resident information.
  • Lead the development of the annual budget and business plan for the property.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
  • Manage staff hiring, training, and development.
  • Maintain active communication with residents and clients.
  • Implement a successful turn plan and ensure timely completion of service requests.
  • Document and address resident behaviors that violate laws or lease agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; high school diploma required.
  • 4 years of experience in various positions in a residential rental community.
  • 2 years of experience as a Community Manager with a proven record of achievements.
  • Locally mandated licenses/certifications strongly preferred.
  • Student housing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proven proficiency in property management operations.
  • Strong financial, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, management, and people skills.
  • Proficiency in internet, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Entrata experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in student housing management.
