About the position

The Community Manager at Greystar is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a property, ensuring that it meets financial and operational goals while complying with relevant laws and company policies. This role involves managing staff, handling budgets, and promoting resident satisfaction, making it crucial for maintaining the property's performance and reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned property.
  • Analyze financial statements and develop budgets for the property.
  • Set rent rates and ensure timely collection of rent and fees.
  • Approve invoices from vendors and manage communication regarding payments.
  • Oversee lease enforcement processes, including resident applications and evictions.
  • Implement marketing and leasing strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
  • Respond to resident complaints and service requests to promote satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Supervise property staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Manage client/owner relationships by providing updates and conducting property tours.

Requirements

  • Experience in property management or a related field.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze financial reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with budget management and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with marketing strategies for residential properties.
  • Previous experience in customer service or resident relations.
