About the position

The Community Manager at IRT Living is responsible for leading the community staff to achieve excellence in property management, ensuring potential residents find their dream homes, and maintaining high satisfaction among current residents. This role involves overseeing a multifamily community, managing operations, and fostering a positive living environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the community staff to achieve operational excellence.
  • Assist potential residents in finding their new homes.
  • Ensure current residents are satisfied and engaged with the community.
  • Manage a single community with 500 units effectively.
  • Oversee budgeting and financial reporting for the community.
  • Plan and execute renovations as needed.
  • Analyze computerized rent rolls and financial reports.
  • Maintain compliance with Fair Housing laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of multi-family community management experience or 6 years in a leadership role within a multi-family community.
  • Strong leadership ability and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to recognize details, plan accordingly, and meet deadlines.
  • Renovations experience required.
  • Ability to analyze computerized rent rolls and financial reports.
  • Knowledge of MSOffice Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills desired.
  • Experience with Entrata preferred, Yardi or RealPage acceptable.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Fair Housing laws.
