Full-time - Entry Level

About the position

As the first Community Manager for our charity in Perth, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to alleviate poverty among vulnerable Muslim children. Our organization is dedicated to providing nutritious meals to children who would otherwise face the harsh realities of child labor, child marriage, or hunger. By ensuring that these children have access to daily meals, we empower them to attend school, learn, and develop the skills necessary for a brighter future. Your work will directly contribute to this inspiring mission, making a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve. In this role, you will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, including principal donors, mosques, and community organizations. You will educate these groups about our work through various communication methods, including in-person meetings and presentations. As the primary contact for a growing portfolio of principal donors, you will be instrumental in expanding our brand presence in the Perth community. This includes designing and coordinating a regional strategy for expansion into specific cities and communities, representing our organization at events, and planning and coordinating these events as needed. You will also collaborate with our marketing department to share ideas and help shape regional fundraising campaigns. Your ability to lead and build active teams of volunteers and supporters will be crucial, as will your interpersonal skills in working with individuals and teams. We are looking for someone who demonstrates potential for professional growth and has a commitment to ethical excellence in all dealings. A solid understanding of Religious Giving from an Islamic Perspective, along with connections to the Muslim community and mosques, will be essential for success in this role. Familiarity with task management and communication platforms such as Asana, Slack, and Notion is also required. Additionally, a valid driver's license and the ability to travel locally within Perth are necessary for this position.
