About the position

As a Community Manager at JMW Properties, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our residential community located at 12636 SE Alder Street, Portland, OR. This full-time position requires a dedicated individual who can manage and maintain the community effectively while ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction. You will be responsible for organizing property maintenance requests, work orders, and schedules to ensure that all aspects of the community are running smoothly. Your role will also involve leasing all available apartments, preparing leases, and maintaining accurate property records. Building and maintaining positive relationships with residents is crucial, as you will be addressing their concerns and inquiries in a timely manner. In addition to resident relations, you will negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure that services are delivered according to agreed-upon terms. Managing onsite staff is another key responsibility, and you will be expected to provide leadership and support to your team. Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the community and organize property maintenance requests, work orders, and schedules.
  • Lease all apartments and prepare leases.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years previous experience in community management.
  • Proficient in using software to manage property leases, notices and renewals (Yardi, Tenant Tech, check scanning equipment).
  • Strong administrative skills, including data entry, filing, and document management.
  • Knowledge of phone etiquette and customer service principles.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
