About the position

As a Community Manager at Hawthorne Residential Partners, you will serve as the team leader, role model, and business manager for the community. You will oversee the sales process and lease administration, contributing to achieving occupancy expectations through leasing and renewals. Daily care for the physical asset is essential, ensuring that the grounds, amenities, and office are clean and well-maintained. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for candidates who have two years of property management experience and one year as a property manager. Familiarity with industry software such as YARDI, Knock, and Microsoft is advantageous. A valid driver's license is required, and certifications such as CAM, CAPS, or a Real Estate license are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively lead your team utilizing key leadership skills such as empathy and motivation.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment for the team.
  • Preserve the physical asset through daily, monthly, and quarterly inspections followed by resolution of items that fall below standards.
  • Create memorable experiences for the residents and team members of the community.
  • Take ownership of the financial performance of the community ensuring the community is meeting expectations.
  • Oversee and contribute to the sales process as well as lease administration processes in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Contribute to achieving occupancy expectations through leasing and renewals.
  • Demonstrate daily care for the physical asset by ensuring grounds, amenities, and office are clean, free of debris, and immaculately maintained.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of property management experience preferred.
  • One year of property manager experience preferred.
  • Experience with industry software (YARDI, Knock, Microsoft) is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • CAM, CAPS or a Real Estate license is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Yardi software.
  • Knowledge of property management best practices.
