About the position

The Community Manager at Anderson Asset Property Group is responsible for fostering positive member relations and providing exceptional customer service. This part-time role involves overseeing the management of community operations, including financial oversight, property maintenance, and member engagement activities. The position requires strong leadership skills to supervise staff and ensure a welcoming environment for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Foster good member relations and provide exceptional customer service by responding to members' requests/issues professionally, timely, and accurately.
  • Assist the Board of Directors by attending Board Meetings, distributing financials, managing the election process, and responding to their requests for information and assistance.
  • Manage the site's accounts receivable by reviewing delinquencies and prepaids.
  • Oversee and participate in controlling operating expenses and maintaining budget controls at the site.
  • Maintain interior cleanliness, curb appeal, and the physical appearance of the community by performing weekly inspections and addressing issues related to safety and maintenance.
  • Oversee and participate in the sales and marketing of cooperative units to prospective members, including maintaining move-in and wait lists, taking reservations, and showing units.
  • Provide site leadership by supervising staff and providing continuous coaching and feedback while adhering to company policies and safety protocols.
  • Report to work during unscheduled hours and days as needed to respond to emergencies and urgent situations.
  • Foster a positive, inviting culture so the community is an enjoyable place for members to call home.
  • Assist in the planning of member activities and retention programs.
  • Coordinate contractor visits and maintain status of repairs.
  • Maintain site records including member files and inspections.
  • Provide office management assistance by managing key control, overseeing mail, and preparing documents.

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service and community management.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage financial records and budgets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales and marketing of property units.
  • Knowledge of property management software.
