About the position

Grove Street Games is looking for a full-time Community Manager to join their Community Management team. This role involves daily interaction with players, providing support, and voicing player feedback to the development team. The ideal candidate will help maintain a healthy online gaming community and assist in shaping the future of the games created by the company.

Responsibilities

• Interacting with our games' communities on a daily basis to collect feedback and inform them about game mechanics.
• Maintaining a healthy, productive online gaming community through interaction and moderation on platforms such as Discord, Reddit, and web forums.
• Planning in-game events and creating subsequent marketing materials.
• Providing customer support for players experiencing in-game problems and issues.
• Participating in weekly meetings to discuss community feedback and game development.
• Playtesting new features for our games to provide player insights.
• Coordinating tasks with other team members across various disciplines.
• Engaging in light game design tasks that require creative problem-solving.

Requirements

• Excellent writing, grammar, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize a large workflow in an organized manner.
• Adept at all major social media platforms.
• Proficient in spreadsheet skills with Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with computers, mobile devices, and video games in general.
• Willingness to relocate to Gainesville, as this position is not remote.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience at other software development studios.
• Experience moderating online gaming communities.
• Experience in Public Relations and/or public-facing communications.
• Experience working in customer service and support.
• Knowledge of video games, particularly ARK: Survival Evolved.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (PR, Marketing, Communications, etc.).
