About the position

The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operations of a housing community, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, safety guidelines, and effective management of personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, and administrative tasks. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage staff, enhance resident satisfaction, and achieve financial goals while maintaining the property’s appearance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operations of the housing community under the supervision of the Regional Supervisor.
• Manage personnel, including hiring, training, and performance management of on-site staff.
• Achieve net operating income through effective cost control and revenue improvement strategies.
• Develop yearly operating budgets and forecasts, and monitor financial transactions.
• Implement marketing strategies to enhance leasing and resident retention.
• Ensure compliance with safety and fair housing guidelines.
• Head the emergency response team for property emergencies.
• Maintain property appearance and ensure timely repairs and maintenance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred or four years of experience in the housing industry.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
