About the position

The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of a residential property in Houston, TX. This role focuses on ensuring the overall success of the community through effective management of property operations, resident relations, and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day operations of the community, including leasing, maintenance, and resident relations
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain residents
• Conduct property tours and assist prospective residents with the application process
• Negotiate lease agreements and enforce lease terms
• Maintain accurate records of all resident interactions and lease agreements using Entrata software
• Ensure compliance with all Fair Housing regulations and legal administrative procedures
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the property, including coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance
• Address resident concerns and resolve any issues in a timely manner
• Monitor and manage the community budget, including rent collection and expense control
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and other service providers to ensure quality service delivery

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in property management
• 3 years of experience as a property manager
• Proficiency in Spanish
• Strong negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Entrata or similar property management software
• Knowledge of property management principles and practices
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
• Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and legal administrative procedures
• Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
• Driver's License
