The Community Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and directing all operations within the community, ensuring that we deliver exceptional service and maintain high levels of resident satisfaction. This position is not only about managing the day-to-day activities but also about fostering a positive environment for both residents and staff. The Community Manager is responsible for hiring, training, and continuously motivating community staff members. This includes providing performance feedback and ensuring that the team meets the strategic drivers set by Bell Partners. The role requires a hands-on approach, including walking the grounds to ensure that the property is show-ready and conducting tours for visitors, prospects, and corporate guests. The Community Manager will also conduct regular performance appraisals, address any employee relations issues, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. In partnership with the Regional Manager, the Community Manager will report on all financial and leasing metrics, including forecasting and budget management. This role is essential in maximizing property performance and ensuring that the onsite staff provides the highest level of service to residents. The Community Manager will also oversee routine capital projects and coordinate with corporate departments as necessary, ensuring that all operations align with the company’s standards and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct, and control all facets of the community to ensure quality services and high customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, manage, and provide performance feedback to employees to ensure community performance and adequate staffing.
  • Motivate associates through recognition programs, training, and team building.
  • Ensure property performance is maximized by inspecting made ready apartments and ensuring they are ready for new residents.
  • Conduct tours for visitors and guests, showcasing amenities and community features.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals and address any associate concerns or employee relations issues.
  • Conduct daily meetings with leasing and maintenance staff to ensure alignment and communication.
  • Evaluate unit prices in accordance with market and budgeted goals.
  • Obtain bids for contract services and oversee routine capital projects, coordinating with Corporate Departments as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in business, sales, or related field preferred but not required; relevant experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years' experience in a property management role preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of successful supervisory experience.
  • Ability to analyze and explain financial reports.
  • Strong working knowledge of property management software and other necessary programs.
  • Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with diverse personalities.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Clear communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand directives both orally and in writing.
  • Professional image and resourcefulness.

Benefits

  • Annual salary range of $87,000.00 - $92,000.00.
