About the position

The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential community, ensuring financial and operational goals are met while fostering a positive living environment for residents. This role involves managing a team, developing budgets, and implementing marketing strategies to enhance resident satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned community.
• Maintain financial and operating goals for the community and supervise property staff.
• Strategically plan, develop, and submit the property budget for approval.
• Manage performance of onsite team members, ensuring adherence to company policies and motivating them to achieve goals.
• Interview, hire, train, and onboard new team members.
• Set rent rates and ensure timely collection and posting of rent and fees.
• Prepare and review monthly financial status reports.
• Approve daily transactions related to the financial operation of the community.
• Analyze economic and marketing trends to develop marketing strategies for the community.
• Participate in property inspections and document findings.
• Deliver excellent customer service to achieve positive ratings and community reviews.
• Promote resident satisfaction and retention by following industry standards and company policies.
• Spearhead social media campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of Multi-family Property Management experience.
• Proficiency with industry software systems such as Yardi, OneSite, Yieldstar, Knock CRM, and revenue management systems.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/OneDrive).
• Familiarity with generally accepted financial principles; experience in annual budget preparation and maintenance preferred.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) Certification preferred.
