About the position

The Community Manager is responsible for the overall supervision and performance of a 263-unit residential community, Rancho Monte Vista, in Upland, CA. This role involves managing daily operations, hiring and training staff, maximizing income through effective rent collection and resident retention strategies, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the overall performance of the property.
• Hire, train, and develop a competent team.
• Manage daily operations including rent collection and legal procedures for delinquent rents.
• Ensure compliance with resident insurance and screening criteria.
• Implement resident retention procedures effectively and timely.
• Complete weekly and monthly performance reports accurately and on time.
• Initiate annual budgets and forecasts, and analyze monthly performance variance reports.
• Create effective marketing plans based on market challenges and competitor analysis.
• Bid out recurring contract work to ensure quality and best pricing.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety procedures, and educate staff on safety precautions.
• Identify potential repairs or capital projects in conjunction with the maintenance supervisor.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Community Manager.
• Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent sales skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals.
• Proficient in writing reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
• Knowledge of operations software used at the property level, including Outlook, Internet software, Excel, and Word.
