About the position

The Community Manager at The Sophia in Venice, FL, is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a premier multifamily property. This role involves leading a dynamic team, ensuring exceptional service to residents, and managing financial performance while fostering a sense of community. The Community Manager will play a crucial role in creating thriving living environments and positively impacting both team members and residents.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the on-site team to align with company goals and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, addressing concerns and fostering community engagement.
  • Oversee budget management, rent collections, and expense control to meet or exceed financial goals.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure the property remains in top condition and address issues promptly.
  • Ensure the property adheres to all legal requirements and company policies, preparing reports for upper management.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to ensure full occupancy and drive leasing success.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in a similar multifamily product.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Community Manager in multifamily properties.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree or equivalent level of education and experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Experience with Class A or luxury lease-up properties preferred.
  • CAM designation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in Yardi software preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and market trends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Class A or luxury lease-up properties preferred.
  • CAM designation is a plus.
