About the position

The Community Manager will oversee all business operations at one of RPM Living's apartment communities, ensuring effective management and resident satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and residents. The Community Manager will be responsible for driving team performance, managing budgets, and maintaining positive relationships with residents and property owners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead property staff, conducting candidate interviews, overseeing onboarding, training, and performance assessments.
  • Drive team to achieve performance indicators and manage disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR.
  • Conduct ongoing training with office staff on leasing paperwork, workplace safety, and operational needs.
  • Motivate associates through recognition programs and team-building activities to enhance productivity.
  • Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Complete month-end and year-end financial reporting and provide monthly budget variance reporting.
  • Promote resident satisfaction and retention by addressing complaints and service requests promptly.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of resident service requests.
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining high standards for resident service.
  • Analyze market trends and partner with marketing to implement leasing strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
  • Follow eviction procedures and manage the client/owner relationship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or 1-2 years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of related multi-family property management experience.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Effective communication skills and a team player attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
  • Valid driver's license.
