About the position

The Community Manager is responsible for the strategic vision and day-to-day operations of a community association. This role involves managing staff, overseeing financial and legal aspects, maintaining property systems, and fostering community engagement among residents. Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the association staff to meet performance goals, including onboarding and training systems.
  • Oversee financial, legal, and governance aspects of the association, escalating issues as needed.
  • Provide oversight of the budget and review all spending throughout the association.
  • Maintain property and systems through proactive maintenance and vendor coordination.
  • Negotiate with vendors and manage service agreements for optimal service delivery.
  • Handle resident relations, addressing concerns and fostering community engagement.
  • Prepare materials for board meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items.
  • Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders, including residents and board members.
  • Stay informed about local real estate trends and regulations affecting property management.

Requirements

  • Detail oriented with strong communication, organizational, problem solving, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to understand the vision of the association and assess operations based on data.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Calm under pressure with excellent conflict management skills and a focus on customer service.
  • Team player that can work independently to lead the team, setting goals and developing timelines.
  • Experience in an operational or administrative function, with own transportation and flexibility for after-hours meetings; property management experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn, implement, and teach staff technology systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in property management preferred.
