About the position

As a Community Manager at Ascension Commercial Real Estate LLC, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of an apartment community in Houston, Texas. This position requires a dynamic individual who is organized, customer-focused, and capable of leading a team to enhance the living experience for residents while driving profitability for the property. You will be responsible for managing all core business processes, which include leasing, resident relations, marketing, maintenance coordination, and financial management. Your leadership will be pivotal in creating a positive living environment and ensuring the property meets its operational objectives. In this role, you will implement strategies aimed at increasing revenues and reducing expenses, thereby optimizing property performance. You will supervise and support team members, ensuring that tasks are completed safely, on schedule, and to high standards. Identifying and resolving existing and potential operational challenges will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will empowering and developing your team through coaching and training to foster high performance and career growth. Effective communication with the Regional Supervisor and relevant teams regarding property performance and operational updates will be essential. Your ability to maintain strong relationships with residents and staff alike will contribute significantly to the overall success of the community.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all core business processes including leasing, client relations, marketing, maintenance, budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, vendor relations, selection and recruitment, and team development.
  • Implement strategies to increase revenues and reduce expenses, optimizing property performance.
  • Supervise and support team members to ensure tasks are completed safely, on schedule, and with high standards.
  • Identify and resolve existing and potential operational challenges to achieve property objectives.
  • Empower and develop team members through coaching and training for high performance and career growth.
  • Maintain effective communication with Regional Supervisor and relevant teams on property performance and operational updates.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in property management with a track record of success.
  • Knowledge of financial and budgeting principles to manage property finances effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to empower and motivate teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with fair housing laws and other applicable regulations.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Valid driver's license required.
