About the position

The Community Manager at The Community Builders, Inc. (TCB) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of community operations and ensuring the performance of the on-site team. This role focuses on managing the property operating budget, enhancing cash flow, maintaining the physical asset, and providing excellent customer service to residents. The Community Manager will work closely with team members to uphold TCB's mission and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage operating budgets and billing processes.
  • Monitor revenue transactions and rent collection, including nonpayment processes.
  • Oversee property maintenance and curb appeal, including annual inspections and safety measures.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and timely communication to residents.
  • Work with Community Life staff to promote activities and services for residents.
  • Recruit, train, and manage team members, providing evaluations and recommendations to HR.
  • Attend trainings, seminars, and conferences as needed.
  • Be available for emergencies and on-call duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Residential Property Management, Hotel, Hospitality, or Retail Management.
  • 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Excellent budget and financial management skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory programs and Federal Housing Laws.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Yardi.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to speak a second language.
  • Industry designations such as COS, LIHTC, ARM®, CPMC®.
