About the position

McKinley is seeking an experienced and driven Community Manager to lead our operations in Orlando, Florida. This role is not just about managing an office; it involves actively engaging with the community and ensuring that residents have a positive living experience. As a Community Manager, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment that motivates employees and delights customers. Your primary goal will be to enrich the quality of life for both team members and residents while achieving financial results for the business. This position is part of McKinley's Owned Residential division, where you will manage communities that we own and operate as long-term assets. In this role, you will be expected to walk the community daily, ensuring that it is clean, organized, and well-maintained from the entrance to the dumpster area. You will be accountable for the overall success of the community, which includes managing operational components such as renewals, sales, apartment turns, expense control, resident work orders, and rent collections. Your leadership will be crucial in creating an environment that motivates employees to meet high standards and achieve challenging goals. The Community Manager will also be responsible for building strong relationships with residents and addressing their needs effectively. You will utilize YARDI software to track availability, record traffic and leasing activities, manage resident and prospect data, and capture demographic information about current and future residents. This position requires a proactive approach to customer service, transforming challenging situations into positive outcomes and teaching your team to do the same. Additionally, you will be involved in financial decision-making, working within budgetary guidelines and making quick decisions based on various factors.

Requirements
