About the position

The Community Manager at RPM Living is responsible for overseeing all business operations at an apartment community. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to foster resident satisfaction and retention. The Community Manager will lead the property staff, manage budgets, ensure compliance with company standards, and maintain positive relationships with residents and property owners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead property staff, conducting candidate interviews, overseeing onboarding, training, and conducting performance assessments.
  • Drive team performance by providing feedback and managing disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR.
  • Conduct ongoing training with office staff on leasing paperwork, workplace safety, and daily operations.
  • Motivate associates through recognition programs and team-building activities to enhance productivity.
  • Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Complete month-end and year-end financial reporting and provide monthly budget variance reporting.
  • Promote resident satisfaction by promptly addressing complaints and service requests.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of resident service requests.
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining high standards for resident service.
  • Analyze market trends and partner with marketing to implement leasing strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
  • Follow eviction procedures and facilitate proceedings as needed.
  • Manage client/owner relationships by conducting property tours and responding to owner requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or 1-2 years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of related multi-family property management experience.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Effective communication skills and a team player attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
  • Valid driver's license.
