About the position

The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a multi-family apartment community, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and effective team management. This role requires a professional leader who can manage staff, maintain property standards, and foster positive resident relationships while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, supervise and direct the daily activities of all on-site staff.
  • Create an atmosphere of cooperation, enthusiasm, service urgency, teamwork, customer satisfaction, and professionalism among staff members.
  • Manage fiscal budgetary compliance to approved operation budgets.
  • Inspect property daily to ensure a quality presentation of the community.
  • Maintain resident relationships, take ownership of resident complaints and problems relating to service and lease provisions and work to swiftly resolve.
  • Provide effective marketing and communications, advise management of pertinent issues as related to the community, market, or other respective issues.
  • Show and lease apartments, handle telephone inquiries.
  • Collaborate with Regional Manager to assess changes in rental market through analysis of customer traffic and rental records.
  • Plan, promote and implement effective Resident Retention initiatives.
  • Organize and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness.
  • Provide exceptional service to all customers, residents and vendors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of property management experience and one year of property manager experience preferred.
  • CAM, CAPS or a Real Estate license is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and address time-sensitive issues.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Superior multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to provide high-level customer service with astute attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to manage workflow amid shifting priorities.
