About the position

The Community Manager position at BLR Commercial Real Estate, Inc. is a full-time role focused on overseeing the daily operations of an apartment complex. This includes maintaining occupancy, managing maintenance, and ensuring fiscal responsibility while fostering positive resident relations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain occupancy by renewing leases to market rents within 60 days of expiration.
• Coordinate service requests and inspect occupied units twice a year.
• Execute an approved marketing plan to rent vacant units and convert traffic to approved tenants.
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance and repairs for both occupied and vacant units.
• Maintain a budget control log and ensure compliance with the approved budget.

Requirements

• Experience in managing multifamily properties.
• Certification as a resident manager (ARM, CAM, etc.).
• Bookkeeping experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
• Safety-conscious and able to assert oneself.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microsoft Office (2 years preferred).
• Driver's License (preferred).
