About the position

The Community Manager at Lyon Living is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an apartment community, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing all aspects of property management. This includes leasing apartments, rent collection, compliance with corporate and governmental regulations, and supervising office staff. The role requires strategic planning to maximize income and maintain property standards while fostering a collaborative and empowering work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, implement, and maintain a cost-effective budget plan for the property.
• Maximize gross rent and miscellaneous income through market rent increases and lease renewals.
• Monitor vacancies, delinquent rents, and concessions proactively.
• Supervise expenditures to ensure compliance with the operating budget.
• Review financial reports regularly to track results and prepare monthly progress reports.
• Interview, screen, and select qualified candidates for job positions.
• Train and develop personnel to achieve maximum growth potential.
• Manage resident requests for maintenance service and assist the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety compliance and property condition.
• Coordinate communication between Lyon Living and retail tenants on-site.
• Implement effective resident retention programs and social activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least three years of management experience supervising two or more employees.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with accounting and financial functions.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor and housing laws.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and OneSite.
