About the position

The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operations of a housing community, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, safety guidelines, and effective management of personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, and administrative tasks. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage staff, enhance resident satisfaction, and achieve financial goals while maintaining the property’s appearance and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operations of the housing community under the supervision of the Regional Supervisor.
• Manage personnel, including hiring, training, and performance management of on-site staff.
• Develop and monitor yearly operating budgets and forecasts to achieve net operating income goals.
• Implement effective marketing strategies to enhance leasing and resident retention.
• Ensure compliance with safety and fair housing guidelines, and manage risk effectively.
• Head the emergency response team for the property and ensure proper handling of emergencies.
• Maintain property appearance and ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance requests.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred or four years of experience in the housing industry.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
