About the position

The Community Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of an apartment complex, ensuring high occupancy rates, managing maintenance and repairs, and maintaining fiscal responsibility. This part-time role requires effective communication and customer service skills to foster positive resident relations and oversee property management tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain occupancy by renewing leases to market rents within 60 days of expiration.
  • Coordinate service requests and inspect occupied units twice a year.
  • Execute approved marketing plans to rent vacant units and convert traffic to approved tenants.
  • Coordinate and supervise maintenance and repairs for occupied and vacant units.
  • Maintain a budget control log and ensure compliance with the approved budget.
  • Collect rent and enforce delinquency policies.
  • Ensure compliance with management company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of experience in property management or related field.
  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or similar certification preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience in bookkeeping and fiscal management.
