About the position

Southern California based privately held Residential Property Management company is seeking to hire an on-site Apartment Manager for a 270+ unit apartment complex located in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an apartment manager at a similar property. This role requires strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. The Apartment Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of property management, ensuring that the complex is well-maintained and that tenant issues are addressed promptly and effectively. The Apartment Manager will directly supervise all building maintenance and staff, select and train office personnel, and periodically evaluate their effectiveness. A key responsibility will be to develop and implement an effective marketing plan for the property, overseeing its effectiveness in attracting and retaining tenants. The manager will handle leasing activities, from showing units to completing lease agreements and managing move-ins and move-outs. It is essential to enforce company policies and procedures on-site, ensuring that all employees are accountable for their tasks and that necessary paperwork is completed accurately. Additionally, the Apartment Manager will approve purchase orders for required office and marketing items, coordinate with the Regional Maintenance Manager regarding unit turns and maintenance projects, and perform other duties as required. This position offers a flexible schedule and requires reliable transportation, as well as proficiency with computers and property management software. The successful candidate will be expected to compile clear and accurate reports for management and effectively address tenant issues and concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise all building maintenance and staff.
  • Select, supervise and train all office personnel and periodically evaluate effectiveness.
  • Develop effective marketing plan and oversee its effectiveness.
  • Manage leasing from showing units to completing the lease and move in/move out.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures on site.
  • Ensure all employees are accountable and completing all necessary required paperwork and assignments.
  • Approve purchase orders for required office and marketing items.
  • Effectively address tenant issues and concerns.
  • Coordinate with Regional Maintenance Manager regarding unit turns and maintenance projects.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an apartment manager at a similar property.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization, negotiation, and supervisory skills.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Proficiency with computers and property management software.
  • Ability to compile clear and accurate reports for management.

  • Driver's License (preferred).
  • Ability to commute to Las Vegas, NV 89148 (preferred).
  • Willingness to relocate to Las Vegas, NV 89148 before starting work (required).
