About the position

As a Community Property Manager at Alamo Management Group, your daily responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks centered around customer service, vendor management, project management, public speaking, finance, budgeting, and conflict resolution. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the community association operates smoothly and effectively, with a focus on creating a positive experience for residents and stakeholders alike. You will be managing a large-scale property consisting of 2500-3000 homes, which requires strong leadership and organizational skills. Your role will involve direct interaction with the Board of Directors (BOD) of each community, where you will advise them on decisions and best practices, attend meetings, and implement their decisions. You will also be responsible for managing all vendors associated with the community, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met, and preparing Requests for Proposals as needed. Regular site inspections will be part of your routine to maintain the standards of the community and to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations. In addition to these responsibilities, you will be tasked with drafting and maintaining community records, organizing files, and updating online portals. Communication is key in this role, as you will be responsible for creating monthly newsletters and handling electronic communications for the communities. You will also oversee the enforcement of community rules and regulations, ensuring that the neighborhood remains visually appealing and that property values are protected. This includes monitoring community activities, addressing homeowner complaints, and resolving issues as they arise. Your financial oversight will include managing the collection of association fees and working closely with the community board to facilitate neighborhood meetings and elections. Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage a large scale property between 2500-3000 homes.
  • Manage a team onsite and work directly with the Board of Directors (BOD) of each community.
  • Advise the BOD on decisions and best practices.
  • Attend BOD meetings at agreed times and implement BOD decisions and processes.
  • Provide weekly updates to the BOD.
  • Manage all vendors within each community and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
  • Design and prepare Requests for Proposals.
  • Perform regular site inspections.
  • Draft and keep all community records organized on the server.
  • Update online portals and manage monthly newsletters.
  • Handle all electronic communications (Eblasts) for the communities.
  • Effectively run all BOD meetings, including preparing meeting notices, agendas, and presentations, and drafting meeting minutes.
  • Enforce community rules and regulations to maintain property values and neighborhood aesthetics.
  • Oversee the general maintenance and upkeep of common areas in the community.
  • Conduct bi-weekly community site inspections and assign violations to homeowners as necessary.
  • Oversee the financial matters of the HOA, including the collection of association fees.
  • Conduct annual elections to select new board members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of HOA property management experience required.
  • Driver's License required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Management preferred.
  • Certification: M100 or CMCA preferred.
  • Experience in community management or maintenance is a plus.
  • Experience with vendor management is beneficial.
