About the position

Gurwin Healthcare System operates a Life Plan Community on its expansive 36-acre campus in Commack, Long Island, which includes a variety of living arrangements and healthcare services. The Community Marketer will play a pivotal role in promoting the mission of the Healthcare System across its multiple service lines, which include independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation services. This position is designed for a dynamic individual who is passionate about healthcare marketing and is committed to enhancing the reputation of Gurwin as a provider of high-quality care and senior living experiences. The Community Marketer will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing business development marketing initiatives that align with the overall brand strategy of Gurwin Healthcare System. This includes developing, organizing, and implementing both short-term and long-term marketing strategies for the various Gurwin entities. The successful candidate will establish and nurture relationships within the community, networking with outside referral sources to promote Gurwin as the provider of choice. The role requires a strategic thinker who can analyze market data and use it to generate new initiatives that will benefit the organization as a whole. In addition to marketing responsibilities, the Community Marketer will serve as a liaison at various professional events, including visits to hospitals and physician practices, to promote Gurwin's services. The position also involves creating and coordinating special events, maintaining an active database of potential referral sources, and presenting marketing reports to Gurwin leadership to highlight the effectiveness of marketing efforts. This role is essential in ensuring that Gurwin continues to be recognized for its commitment to providing the gold standard of care in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, organize, and implement short-term and long-term marketing strategies for various Gurwin entities in coordination with the marketing and sales team.
  • Establish and develop relationships within the community through networking with outside referral sources.
  • Use market data and analytics to generate new initiatives for each entity and for Gurwin overall.
  • Serve as community liaison at professional events, promoting Gurwin as the provider of choice.
  • Educate community-based resources on all aspects of the Gurwin entities.
  • Create and coordinate special events and marketing events at different Gurwin entities.
  • Maintain an active database with potential referral sources and generate reports.
  • Develop key metrics for each entity to measure successful marketing efforts.
  • Organize and present marketing reports to Gurwin leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 3 to 5 years of marketing experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record in implementing marketing strategies.
  • Ability to analyze data and think strategically and creatively.
  • Self-starter with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Jewish customs and traditions is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare marketing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of community engagement strategies.
