The Community Marketing Agent plays a crucial role in this mission by acting as a brand ambassador for Wyndham Destinations. This position involves engaging with the public at popular local attractions such as malls and theme parks, as well as attending events like trade shows, festivals, and conferences. The primary responsibility is to connect with prospective customers through face-to-face conversations, sharing information about the vacation club experience and inviting them to attend award-winning vacation ownership presentations. In this sales-based role, the Community Marketing Agent will serve as a positive and professional representative of Wyndham Destinations. Responsibilities include greeting and presenting to prospective customers, incentivizing them to attend a sales-preview tour, and screening and qualifying potential customers based on company guidelines. The agent will also be responsible for making sales-tour reservations and collecting required deposits. This role requires maintaining minimum performance goals and adhering to all company policies, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Community Marketing Agent is expected to attend all scheduled training sessions and department meetings, stay current on marketing information and materials, and keep up with industry trends. Setting and reviewing performance goals on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis is also part of the job. Importantly, this position does not require travel outside of the home site's area, allowing for a focused approach to local marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Sales and/or marketing experience is preferred, not required
  • Must maintain production standards
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • 1 to 3 years of sales and/or marketing experience is preferred, not required
  • Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment within a shared space
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, general computer skills and smart devices
