About the position

As a Community Marketing Assistant Manager at Travel + Leisure Co., you will play a pivotal role in our mission to put the world on vacation. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and have a knack for leadership. You will supervise a team of Community Marketing Associates (CMAs) to ensure that we meet and exceed our budgeted tour flow and Average Per Guest (APG) metrics. Your responsibilities will include training, motivating, and strategically scheduling your team to optimize performance. You will also act as a field leader, providing guidance and support to CMAs while ensuring they have the necessary supplies to succeed in their roles. In addition to team supervision, you will be responsible for resolving guest issues and complaints, ensuring that our guests have a positive experience. You will assist the manager with various reports and site updates, acting as a liaison between resort tour reception and sales/marketing teams. Your role will also involve recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new CMAs, as well as assisting in their training and ongoing development. Keeping accurate attendance records and complying with Human Resource and company policies will be essential aspects of your job. This position requires excellent communication skills and a history of reliability and dependability. You should have at least two years of management or supervisory experience, along with one year of experience in timeshare, vacation ownership, or a related field. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 lbs, and you must have a valid driver's license and insurance, as the use of a personal vehicle is necessary. Flexibility in your schedule is also a must, as the role may require working at varying times.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise team to meet and exceed budgeted tour flow and APG through training, motivation, contests, and strategic scheduling.
  • Act as a field leader to motivate, train, oversee CMAs, and deliver supplies.
  • Help resolve guest issues and complaints.
  • Assist Manager with reports and site updates.
  • Serve as a resort tour reception and sales/marketing liaison.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire CMAs.
  • Assist Manager with training for new hires and ongoing training.
  • Maintain attendance record keeping.
  • Comply with Human Resource and company policies.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • History of reliability, dependability, and effective follow-through.
  • 2 years of management or supervisory experience.
  • 1 year of timeshare, vacation ownership, or related experience required (CMP, OPC).
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Use of personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance required.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Must have a High School diploma or GED.
