The position involves providing outreach and social service assistance as part of the Clean and Sober Outreach and General Assistance program. Under supervision, the employee will engage with the community through various methods such as telephone calls, home visits, and direct interactions to identify and address clients' needs related to behavioral health, transportation, and social services. The role requires the development and implementation of outreach strategies aimed at increasing awareness of the behavioral health program within the community. The employee will inform clients about available services, assist them in completing necessary forms, and advocate on their behalf when needed. Collaboration with local organizations, schools, businesses, and community leaders is essential to establish partnerships and enhance outreach efforts. The position also involves transporting clients to obtain medical, substance use disorder (SUD), or mental health (MH) treatment, as well as conducting periodic home visits to monitor client needs. Additionally, the employee will participate in training the community on the use of Overdose Prevention kits, Harm Reduction strategies, and stigma prevention related to SUD and MH conditions. Organizing and participating in community events, workshops, and presentations to educate the public about SUD and MH resources is also a key responsibility. Maintaining accurate records of outreach activities and community partnerships, while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations, is crucial. The role may also include supporting administrative functions within the Behavioral Health Program (BHP). Due to the Tribe's commitment to community service, employees may be expected to perform a variety of office and field duties beyond their regular responsibilities.
