About the position

LIVunLtd is seeking a Community Programming Manager to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and executing strategic programming concepts that engage targeted populations through various activities and events. You will collaborate closely with the Community Director to enhance existing vendor and client partnerships while also forging new connections. Your work will involve liaising between client stakeholders and LIVunLtd's Creative Team based in NYC, ensuring that all parties are aligned on project deliverables and timelines. As the Community Programming Manager, you will be responsible for creating an annual programming calendar that resonates with the local community. This includes brainstorming and presenting innovative ideas and themes that will attract diverse groups to the property. You will also play a key role in identifying and collaborating with local vendors, brands, and talent, extending your outreach beyond the immediate client base to include local social and charitable organizations. Your efforts will help build goodwill and establish strategic partnerships that support the client's objectives. Additionally, you will attend on-site events to ensure they meet quality standards and align with the desired style, while also fostering relationships with both the client and the community. This position requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, making it an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Director as the key liaison between client stakeholders and LIVunLtd's NYC-based Creative Team and Leadership Team.
  • Establish a clear understanding of how the client manages digital data, particularly in collecting email addresses and building the subscriber list, and communicate this to all relevant departments.
  • Collaborate on and present ideas for an annual programming calendar of events and activities to engage various populations at the property.
  • Identify local vendors, brands, and talent for collaboration on programming, starting with existing client retailers and extending beyond the campus.
  • Build relationships with key contacts at local social and charitable organizations to generate goodwill and establish strategic partnerships.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year experience in luxury hospitality or high-end event planning.
  • Knowledge of Houston attractions, nightlife, restaurants, and shopping.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with remote supervision.
  • Ability to work with all levels of staffing, management, and clientele.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of multiple languages is an additional asset.
  • Familiarity with BuildingLink and Salesforce is a bonus.
  • Proficient in Google Suite.
