The Community Programs Manager (CPM) at Project EATS is a pivotal role responsible for the successful execution and management of all community programs under the Our Well Being initiative. This position is integral to fostering relationships and expanding the reach of Project EATS' mission to create community-based food systems in urban areas with limited access to nutritious food. The CPM will report directly to the CEO and will oversee the Community team, ensuring that activities are designed to engage and build ongoing relationships with youth, families, and adults in targeted neighborhoods including Brownsville (Brooklyn), Belmont (Bronx), Essex (Lower East Side), and East Harlem (Manhattan). The primary goal of the CPM is to enhance community involvement, appreciation, and support for agriculture initiatives, plant-based meals, and the consumption of fresh, nutritious food. This role requires the CPM to actively develop strong ties with neighbors and community stakeholders, ensuring that the programs resonate with the community's needs and dynamics. The CPM will manage all community program activities, ensuring that they meet both quantitative and qualitative goals, achieving 100% compliance with commitments made to donors and partners. In addition to program management, the CPM will be responsible for staff development, hiring, training, and providing ongoing support to program staff and volunteers. The role also involves strict financial management, adhering to quarterly and annual budgets while striving to meet and exceed program goals. The CPM will work closely with the CEO to translate the vision for community engagement into actionable, mission-driven programming that leverages Project EATS' strengths and resources to create a visible positive impact in the communities served.
