About the position

The Community Manager I is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and coordination of Association operations and administrative functions to ensure smooth and properly functioning communities. This role requires a Licensed Community Association Manager (LCAM) and involves working closely with Board members and other management to develop strategic direction and maintain community standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day management and coordination of Association operations.
  • Work with Board members and management to develop strategic direction for the Association.
  • Ensure on-site activities align with the mission, vision, and goals of the community.
  • Develop, communicate, and monitor property budgets.
  • Review monthly finances and make recommendations to the Board as needed.
  • Review, approve, and audit vendor and utility company invoices.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports.
  • Coordinate, negotiate, and administer vendor contracts for property-level services.
  • Conduct monthly property inspections and prepare communications regarding deed restriction violations.
  • Enforce all policies, rules, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Attend all Board and annual meetings, preparing and distributing meeting notices, agendas, and minutes.
  • Respond to calls and inquiries from Board members, homeowners, and vendors, ensuring all inquiries are resolved and recorded.
  • Work with Community Manager Lead and Senior Managers for ongoing training and mentoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) and 1-2 years of Community/Association management experience, or an Associate's degree (AA) and 2-3 years of Community/Association management experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Licensed Community Association Manager (LCAM) required; CMCA and AMS certifications preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and internet.
  • Ability to work with basic office equipment and phone systems.
  • Strong communication skills, maintaining professionalism and composure in challenging situations.
