About the position

We are seeking an experienced Community Manager to join our team as we open our next apartment community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our property, including resident relations, administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with property management regulations. The successful applicant will be a team player with a strong customer service focus, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work independently. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of our property, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and maintaining a clean and safe environment. You will oversee all administrative tasks, including rent collection, lease renewals, and maintenance requests. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with residents is crucial, as you will be responding promptly to their needs and concerns. You will also ensure compliance with fair housing regulations and property management policies, which is essential for the smooth operation of the community. Additionally, you will negotiate with vendors and contractors to secure the best rates and services, and utilize property management software, including Yardi/Rent Cafe, to track and manage maintenance requests, lease agreements, and other relevant information. Providing exceptional customer service over the phone and in person is a key aspect of this position, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and patience. You will manage the office and ensure all administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner while staying up-to-date with current laws and regulations related to property management and fair housing.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in property management or a related field.
  • Experience with property management software, including Yardi/Rent Cafe.
  • Familiarity with fair housing regulations and the ability to ensure compliance with these regulations.
  • Excellent customer service and phone etiquette skills.
  • Experience with negotiating with vendors and contractors.
  • A strong understanding of administrative tasks and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Experience working in an office environment and managing administrative tasks.
  • Marketing knowledge.
  • Experience with Yardi is required.
