About the position
The Community Regional Executive at Simmons Bank is responsible for overseeing all community lending functions across multiple markets, focusing on revenue and profitability growth while maintaining asset quality. This senior management role involves leading a team of Community Bankers and Commercial Portfolio Managers, managing community assets exceeding $500 million, and ensuring compliance with bank policies. The position emphasizes relationship-building with customers and cross-selling the bank's services.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the sales effort of customers and prospects in all communities through a relational business development plan.
- Supervise lending and loan administration activities under the direction of the Community Division Executive.
- Review and approve credit applications exceeding individual officer lending authorities.
- Ensure compliance with Simmons Bank credit policy and prudent lending practices.
- Prepare and conduct annual evaluations of lending associates and impose disciplinary action when warranted.
- Manage all functions of multiple communities through consultations with subordinate officers.
- Provide guidance and support to Retail leadership for retail banking and sales management functions.
- Collaborate with other market leaders in hiring decisions for the communities.
- Coordinate compliance activities and preparation of budget for the community.
- Become active in the market through membership in business organizations and community events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, or relevant job experience.
- Minimum of four to six years of experience in lending and/or credit and management.
- Advanced sales skills are required.
- Experience in the local market for a better understanding of the lending environment.

- Experience with MS Office programs.
- NMLS number certification.
