About the position

As a Community Relations and Education Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of patients and families affected by rare and debilitating diseases. This position is part of our Patient Support Services team, where your skills will be essential in accelerating drug discovery and development. You will be responsible for engaging with the community, particularly focusing on Hemophilia Chapters and Foundations, to foster relationships and advocate for patients' needs. Your work will involve aligning with cross-functional colleagues to ensure that resources are effectively orchestrated to support these communities. In this role, you will identify, profile, cultivate, and maintain long-term relationships with Executive Directors of Hemophilia Chapters and Foundations, as well as their staff and Social Workers at Hemophilia Treatment Centers. You will also be tasked with capturing market insights by gathering feedback from the bleeding disorder community and Hemophilia Chapters regarding brand-related strategies and materials. This feedback will be crucial in shaping our approach and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Additionally, you will plan and execute regional and national speaking engagements, where you will present complex hemophilia clinical information to the community in a professional and ethical manner. Your ability to convey this information effectively will be key to educating and engaging the community, ultimately helping to improve the lives of those affected by these conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and develop advocacy with Hemophilia Chapters and Foundations.
  • Align with cross-functional colleagues to orchestrate resources for Hemophilia Chapters as determined by the Brand Team.
  • Identify, profile, cultivate, and maintain long-term relationships with Executive Directors of Chapters and Foundations, their staff, and Social Workers at Hemophilia Treatment Centers.
  • Capture market insights through live interactions with the bleeding disorder community and Hemophilia Chapters.
  • Work with targeted Hemophilia Chapters to obtain feedback on new and existing brand-related strategies and materials, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Plan and execute regional and national speaking engagements with the hemophilia community, including independent presentations and collaborations with Peer ambassadors or HCP co-speakers.
  • Conduct formal and informal presentations to convey complex hemophilia clinical information fluently and effectively.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience.
  • Experience in Hemophilia preferred.
  • Specialty Pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups, tailoring presentations to audience needs.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong project management experience, including superior analytical and planning skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent presentation and platform skills/experience.
