About the position

The Community Relations Coordinator acts as the principal ambassador for Midtown Health Center. This position will build relationships in the communities served by Midtown Health Center and organize outreach events to promote Midtown's services.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains relationships with members of communities and other organizations to promote Midtown's services - medical, dental, behavioral health, health insurance options through the Federal Marketplace, Medicaid, CHIP, SNAP, and agencies providing Social Service assistance.
  • Plans, organizes, and attends events, including creating, preparing and distributing materials.
  • Coordinates Manager level staff to attend appropriate community events and activities.
  • Works in conjunction with managers to create event staffing plans that support program and agency outreach efforts.
  • Assists in the organization of special events, including donor/volunteer appreciation events and other fundraising initiatives.
  • Responds to requests for assistance from patients and non-patients by assessing service needs and providing direct intervention, information, and referral services as appropriate.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled conference calls, meetings, and training events to maintain CAC and/or Navigator certification.
  • Maintains files and records of individuals served, services provided, and outreach activities conducted; and uses this information to evaluate the effectiveness/impact of events to either repeat or improve future opportunities.
  • Provides data and other information necessary for CMS and other reporting requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates degree combined with a minimum of two years of experience in marketing, business, fundraising or outreach activities required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written skills highly desired.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to utilize own transportation for work purposes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business or related field preferred.
