About the position

The Community Relations Manager (Outside Sales) at Assure Home Healthcare is responsible for promoting and educating various communities and healthcare organizations about the company's services. This role involves grassroots efforts to develop relationships with local organizations, healthcare providers, and community leaders to enhance the visibility and reputation of Assure Home Healthcare. The position requires a proactive approach to outreach, data management, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and educate communities and healthcare organizations about Assure Home Healthcare services.
  • Develop relationships with local community organizations, key leaders, clients, and media to enhance service visibility.
  • Prepare data for marketing managers to identify growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate market research data collection and develop client and competitor profiles.
  • Set and monitor referral goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for community outreach and education initiatives.
  • Compile data to evaluate outreach effectiveness and guide marketing processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of community resources and assist customers in accessing them.
  • Support strategic planning and marketing efforts for Medicare, Insurance, and Medicaid services.
  • Ensure high attendance rates in speaking engagements by designing relevant programs.
  • Collaborate with hospital discharge planning personnel and insurance case managers to facilitate safe discharges.
  • Gather survey results to promote business development and identify growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field; LPN or nursing licensure is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in healthcare sales, preferably in home healthcare or hospice.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using technology for documentation and communication.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in home healthcare, hospice, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of managed care issues, Medicare, and Medicaid laws.
