About the position

As a Community Relations Manager at Mosaic, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing community engagement and promoting the organization's mission and services. Your primary responsibility will be to create and implement a comprehensive community relations plan that effectively attracts interest and fosters connections within the community. You will be working closely with volunteers, donors, and various community stakeholders to convey the value of Mosaic's mission in an inspiring manner. In this role, you will coordinate and execute community awareness initiatives that involve building partnerships and sharing impactful stories that support and advance Mosaic's mission. You will also focus on cultivating relationships within the local faith community, enhancing awareness, and establishing contacts that can lead to increased support and donations. Your ability to build and execute targeted community awareness campaigns will be crucial in developing strong donor relationships and nurturing existing ones. Additionally, you will collaborate with national office support teams to research, prepare, and submit grant proposals and applications for funding, ensuring that Mosaic continues to thrive and expand its reach. This position requires a dynamic individual who is not only a skilled communicator but also a go-getter with a resourceful and solution-oriented mindset. You will need to manage your time effectively, juggling multiple responsibilities while maintaining open communication about timelines and challenges. Your experience in grant writing, volunteer management, and nonprofit fundraising will be invaluable as you work to support Mosaic's mission and engage the community.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute a community awareness plan that involves building partnerships and sharing stories to support and advance Mosaic's mission.
  • Cultivate church-related activities to enhance awareness and establish contacts throughout the local faith community.
  • Build and execute targeted community awareness campaigns and develop strong donor relationships.
  • Nurture donor relationships and solicit gifts and contributions.
  • Collaborate with national office support teams to research, prepare and submit grant proposals and applications for funding.

Requirements

  • A resourceful and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Motivation to thrive in a dynamic and growing organization.
  • Two years' experience in a similar position.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or a related field.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities while communicating honestly about your timelines, challenges and questions.
  • Previous experience with grant writing, volunteer management, and experience with nonprofit fundraising.
