About the position

The Community Relations and Philanthropy Manager at Saint-Gobain is responsible for leading and managing the North America Foundation's non-profit operations and strategic partnerships. This role focuses on developing and executing the Foundation's strategic vision in alignment with corporate social responsibility goals, overseeing community relations, volunteer programs, and employee engagement initiatives. The position requires strong leadership and relationship-building skills to drive positive social impact and enhance the company's philanthropic efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the annual planning of the Saint-Gobain North America Foundation in alignment with the strategic vision of the Foundation board.
  • Manage the allocation of the Foundation's annual budget of $1.4 million, including distribution of community grants, direct grants, and matching gifts.
  • Handle all day-to-day operations of the Foundation, including budgeting, financial management, and administration.
  • Plan, develop and implement giving campaigns in support of Saint-Gobain philanthropic and community engagement activities.
  • Oversee the grant-making process, including identifying potential grant recipients and ensuring compliance.
  • Support the ongoing implementation and expansion of community outreach strategies and plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the SGNA Foundation's programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to design communication and marketing strategies to promote the SGNA Foundation's activities.
  • Manage external vendor partnerships that provide support and services for the SGNA Foundation programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as business administration, nonprofit management, philanthropy, communications, or social sciences.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing corporate foundations, CSR programs, volunteer programs, and engagement.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic plans, managing budgets, and evaluating impact.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Expert written and verbal communication skills and comfortable presenting to senior management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to corporate foundations.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and technology for project management, data analysis, and communication.
