About the position
The Community Representative role at Face the World involves working part-time on a contract basis to support and facilitate the hosting of international students by local families. This position is focused on finding and screening potential host families, assisting them with necessary paperwork, and providing ongoing support to ensure a positive experience for both students and families.
Responsibilities
- Find and screen potential volunteer Host Families.
- Assist potential host families in completing necessary paperwork and forms.
- Secure written permission for attendance from local schools and enroll students upon arrival.
- Give orientations to all students and Host Families in your area.
- Meet with each student and host family at least once per month and complete reports indicating their program progress.
- Assist Host Families and students with any difficulties or emergencies they may face during the program and file required paperwork.
Requirements
- Mandarin language proficiency.
- Driver's License (Required).
- No prior experience needed.
- Ability to work with teens and make a difference in the community.
