About the position

As a Community Residential Lending Specialist at Frost Bank, you will play a crucial role in facilitating equitable access to credit within low-to-moderate income areas. You will be responsible for engaging with local communities, understanding their residential lending needs, and collaborating with Frost's mortgage team to provide tailored solutions. In this role, you will actively build deep relationships with community organizations, local contractors, and area real estate agents to support Frost's Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and fair lending objectives. Regular interaction outside of the office will be essential as you listen to community members and articulate how Frost's products can benefit them. You will assist community members throughout the application and closing process, ensuring they receive the highest level of service that Frost is known for. Responsibilities

• Provide equitable access to credit by facilitating lending processes within low-to-moderate income areas.
• Build deep relationships with community organizations, local contractors, and area real estate agents in support of Frost's CRA and fair lending objectives.
• Actively engage with local communities to build and foster meaningful relationships, requiring regular presence and interaction outside of the office environment.
• Listen for residential lending needs in the low to moderate income community and identify how Frost could help; collaborate with Frost's mortgage team to ensure all mortgage needs are met.
• Articulate to community members how our products work and what the benefits are.
• Help community members become Frost customers by assisting with the application and closing process; be available to provide the highest level of our award-winning Frost service.
• Collaborate with other employees to serve the community with care, ensuring product needs are met and that Frost's interaction with local organizations is properly coordinated.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in banking and/or mortgage lending.
• A deep commitment to making people's lives better in the communities we serve.
• NMLS license; the ability to transfer license to Frost or obtain license within 60 days.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
