About the position

The Community Resource Associate position at Elmbrook Humane Society is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional support to both internal and external customers while facilitating animal adoptions and addressing animal-related inquiries. The role requires a compassionate and motivated individual who enjoys working with people and animals, and it involves various office functions to support the daily operations of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers in a friendly, welcoming manner.
• Answer multiple phone lines simultaneously.
• Provide assistance to internal and external customers, determining their needs and supporting them appropriately.
• Assist with the adoption, surrender, and redemption process.
• Perform various office duties such as filing, copying, and data entry into EBHS databases.
• Assist with answering emails received at the general EBHS email account.
• Promote responsible companion animal ownership.
• Assist with fundraising and community events as requested.
• Maintain files related to both animals under the care of EBHS and adopters.
• Assist with housekeeping needs related to presenting a clean, organized lobby area.
• Support an environment that encourages communication and collaboration among all staff and volunteer positions.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Appropriate technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proven customer service skills.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and multi-task.
• Computer literate and ability to operate office equipment.
