As a staff member at the Healing Center, you will have a significant impact on over 25,000 families through your work to promote personal growth and self-advocacy. Through this role, you will have the opportunity to help meet the most pressing needs of the community through connection to local community resources, utility assistance, and eviction prevention. This role will lead the Healing Center's Community Resource Connection operations and volunteer team, ensuring effective links between guests and community resources. Collaborate with community partners to identify service gaps, implement new programs, and maximize the use of existing resources. Cultivate relationships with key organizations to enhance resource options and advance our mission of serving the community.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and oversee the current assessment processes and related guest programs.
  • Supervise financial assistance initiatives, including emergency funds and church-wide benevolence programs.
  • Set program goals, design strategies for achievement, establish metrics, and evaluate/report outcomes.
  • Stay updated on internal and external programs to meet guest needs, assess needs, and suggest resources based on service gaps.
  • Regularly update The Healing Center referral system to ensure current information and identify resources for diverse guest needs.
  • Advocate for guests by assessing their needs and facilitating direct linkages to appropriate resources.
  • Oversee the development and management of databases related to Community Resource Services.
  • Manage the onboarding, training, and development of volunteer Resource Connectors.
  • Conduct daily meetings to ensure the effective provision of services.
  • Oversee scheduling, ensuring volunteer placement aligns with skills, gifts, and interests.
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key organizations, including non-profits, for-profits, and churches, to support resource options for guests.
  • Implement plans to leverage ongoing partnerships to enhance resource offerings for guests.
  • Market Healing Center services to other organizations to increase awareness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Services or Business.
  • Minimum of 3 years in management and administration of community assessment and referral programs in non-profit or ministry.
