About the position

The Community Resources Associate plays a vital role in assisting clients with applications for essential services such as food stamps, Medicaid, and cash assistance. This position involves guiding individuals and families through the application process, addressing social security inquiries, and ensuring clients have access to necessary government resources. The role is integral to supporting the community and enhancing access to vital services.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals and families to apply online for Medicaid, food stamps, and temporary cash assistance.
• Assist individuals with social security questions, including obtaining replacement cards and facilitating communication with the Social Security Administration.
• Help clients contact the Department of Children and Families (DCF) for interviews or inquiries about their cases.
• Download government forms available online and assist applicants in completing the necessary forms.
• Generate a monthly report that contains all the enrollment requests, effective dates, and health plans.

Requirements

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Relevant vocational coursework or experience in a related field.
• 1 year of Sales and Marketing experience (Required).
• 1 year of Medicare experience (Required).
